Before

So when Jacob and I were engaged we were at Dave and Busters and saw this gene machine...it puts both your faces together to show what your children would look like. We chose a boy....the funny thing is it looks SOO much like my brother when he was little and even a little like his son now...What do you think?

Our Little Adventure

Jacob recently had a job interview in Fairfax, VA. So with the possibility of a change, we decided we both would go on a weekend and have him interview on Monday. The area was really beautiful for a city with tons of people. It is easily 30 minutes from Washington D.C. and all of the amazing museums and shows and resterants there. The city and surrounding areas had TONS of runing and biking paths that wind throughout the cities! We also went to church there and were so grateful for the members we met there. They were so kind and so generous. Within 20 minutes we had met all the bishopric and Relief Society President, several ward members, the ward boundaries on a sheet of paper, and two couples with places to rent out to us.
They were so encouraging and REALLY excited about us. Everytime we met someone new they would act like we were already moving there. We easily met the entire ward through their friendly efforts and just felt not inly welcomed but as if they would really do anything for us.
I've never been to such a warm and welcome ward.
And so doctrinly on the ball too....their lessons were straight from scripture, and where you could tell the ward members were incredibly intelligent and wealthy they were very humble. It was a true blessing to worship with them.

The biggest thing there is the housing..YOUV'E GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!....We would have to be paying twice what we are paying now for a 1 bedroom. It's really ridiculous...really. They will have to offer a certain amount for us to be able to afford to live their so we will see..
The Washington DC Temple
I've been to this temple before but it was Jacob's first time. He has always loved this temple, it's the picture that always stood on his bedside table. It is huge and gorgeous. A very impressive sight at night. We approached from the back way since we were staying in Virginia. We hear though that the sight from the freeway is very impressive at night. That it looms out of the darkness so suddenly that there is a sign warning you of the temple before you turn the corner to look over into the valley where it stands.

Jacob and I
The stunned looks on our face probably have to do with Jacob reaching his hand out: me setting the camera up in his hand for the picture + setting the timer + and then dashing to his side for the picture = Genius

Corner View of the DC temple. The stained glass shines blue through it, beautiful!

The Christus in the visitors center.

I SEE DEAD PEOPLE

OK.....so Jacob is napping. Its Sunday and I was a little bored and thought I'd blog a little.
This is our puppy Ella.
She does the strangest thing...she jerks around like she hears something and then stares up toward the ceiling like she sees something.
It is truly very creepy.
SHE IS HOWEVER QUITE A CHARACTER...
Let me demonstrate.
( I wish I could show you her sleeping pictures which comprise of her jumped up behind the couch with her head over the couch...ASLEEP, or with her head under the couch and her body outside of it...Hilarious. Anyways...Her are some of her multiple personalities...)

What's the DEAL

What is the deal seriously! I try to be responsible and update my tetanus shot and get a tennis ball sized sore on my arm and feel like I have the flu. Hopefully when the Doctor checks out my TB test tomorrow he will tell me what is up!
