Time simply has to pass quickly sometimes, sometimes for our survival, sometimes to look to new things, and sometimes so that we can just simply love the ones we are with and look brightly to the future ahead of us. We have definitly been down those roads of trials lately but are so thankful for your prayers. We have gained new strength and hope, and joy.

Ultimately that is what we seek to obtain anyway, isnt it?

After an emotionally exhausting month Jacob came home from work where he whisked me away for a relaxing weekend. It was just what we needed time to enjoy doing nothing! He had the whole weekend planned with things right off our list of "someday we will...." it was perfect of course.

A couple of weeks later we met my parents up in Gatlinburg , TN and spent the day sightseeing the smoky mountains along with everything else it had to offer! It was so good to see them and spend time with them in such a beautiful and fun place!

And then most recently we spent an incredible Thanksgiving at Jacobs family's house. It was full of his family and wonderful food! It was so fun to be all together again. The only downer is that somehow our camera was forgotten and we were not able to get pictures of the day!
So that is all until Christmas I suppose! Merry Christmas!

WELCOME HOME TIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leisa's brother Tim is finally home from his mission. Jacob and Tim missed meeting each other by hours when Tim went into the missionary training center. So it was a great time for the two of them to meet! Tim was serving in the Las Vegas Mission for two years so its good to have him home! We spent the weekend celebrating his return. First time we see Tim in two years.

AHHHHHH....RELAX

The first week of August we went on vacation to Florida with Jacob's parents and brother Aubrey. We spent a week on the beach and although hot and muggy it was tremendously relaxing and a whole lot of fun!

It was so nice to relax and not worry about all that medical stuff we're dealing with at home!

Little bit of a Sunset.

Jacob giving the camera his best GQ pose possible.

The boys chasing the gulls....there is just something about the composition of this picture that just makes it look so good.

Jacob and Aubrey

OK.......so Leisa got stung by a jellyfish on her arm, WHILE trying to get out of the water because she had already seen one to many, but as she swam back to shore she ended up getting her arm caught right in the middle of one...........and on her birthday too!

Jacob and his Dad

During the course of our stay some of us went to Gulf World.
These seals were just in their resting area but bound and determined to still pose and put on a show.

We also went to a high dive show which was pretty crazy....you so wouldnt see us up there. The highest dive was up 8 stories!
And of course the dolphins.....who can stay away from them. Their show was pretty amazing.

And yes this is a huge sea turtle that funny enough followed us as we walked by and kept trying to climb out at us.

And these are pictures of Leisa's birthday while on the beach.
She woke up to roses on the dresser. Jacob had gotten up at 5:00am to go get things for her birthday!
Directly after driving eight hours home we switched cars and drove to Columbus, Ohio, another...oh 7 hours. For Leisa's mom's birthday present all the kids chipped in and bought her tickets to the American Idol Top Ten Tour, and so we drove up so Leisa could go with her and spend a little bit of a birthday party with her parents.

And that is it! We are still doing really well! Still job hunting for Jacob! And still working on health stuff for Leisa. But all in all we are truly blessed and very happy!
