I'm So Excited!

Jacob and I did the funnest thing last night! For family Home Evening we put together the bed of our first garden. It is going to be so fun! We have already been growing seeds in paper cups and they are ready to plant. So Jacob got some wood planks and leveled them out and made a raised bed for our garden.
It was funny, before the night was over we had our neighbor from across the street bringing over all kinds of manly tools to help out and three little boys from all over the neighborhood
kneeling down holding planks of wood and hammering things. I guess there is nothing like the sound of hammering wood together that brings guys from all over to your house :) It was pretty funny.
One of the little kids was about 4 years old and was scared of going near our dogs in case they jumped on him. I told them that, "They didn't bite they just might lick your face." and he said in his adorable southern boy accent, ' Way'L heere's ma face!" I loved it! It made me laugh so hard. I love being around kids.

Then the best part!

We have been trying to do something for a little while now, just for fun. And are now just planing it.
Do you remember playing the MASH game growing up? Well Jacob had the brilliant idea of playing it in a way of randomly traveling. Instead of MASH though we would have NSEW for North, South, East, West directions at the top. And then, well...it looked a little like this last night.

We rolled dice to come up with the numbers under each category and then did the little circle thing to cross off numbers. So we will see where we end up Friday night! It should be a very lively three day weekend! I'm Excited!

I can't describe the shock and disbelief I experienced when I saw you wrote on your blog, you go girl! I am so curious to hear more details about this vacation! Maybe it will lead you to Utah?? That would be spectacular.

Leisa- Thanks for your tips! I'll look into that. I'm not using PS (yet) just iphoto. I'm excited for you guys planting a garden. I think vegetable gardens are so fun! Nothing like fresh peas and tomatoes from your own garden!
