And several months later.....

Yes .. it is us... Jacob and Leisa....after several months we have returned..since it has taken us so long to get back on here we have decided to give you a little month by month play by play to catch you up!

Since our last post Leisa had her Bridal pictures taken and then the next day we drove up to Ohio where we met up with Leisa's grandparents and Leisa's mom threw a bridal shower.

The following month we were off to the Nauvoo Temple to be sealed for Time and All Eternity!!!! We traveled with Jacobs family and friend Brittany. Our trip in total was over 30 hours!!!

We were sealed June 2, 2006.

Both as much of Jacobs family and Leisa's family as possible were there. We are so grateful for their support and love.

Following our sealing we traveled to Ohio for the first reception, where it was held at Leisa's parents house. We were a little worn out already as you can see in these "After the reception" pictures. I think we are a little slap happy.

After that we headed off to Georgia for our last reception. Again we could not have done without our wondeful families and there preperations and hard work to make everything perfect for us! All of the food was beautiful and prepared by our families. From what we got it tasted good too! Here are some pictures from the reception in Georgia.

Jacobs' sister made both of the cakes in Georgia. In the south there is a tradition of also having a grooms cake which is chocolate!!!

After the reception we headed to Florida to the White Orchid Inn. A Spa/Bed and Breakfast right on the beach.

Then Jacob and Leisa traveled back home. Jacob started his new job at Blood Assurance as a Phlebotomist and Leisa continued to look for work. Here is us in front of our first Apartment.

Not even two weeks later Leisa went to the Church's Girls Camp for a week. She left her picture for Jacob. Luckily he came up and saw her at the end of the week.

Since then we have moved across town to Ringgold and Leisa got a job as a dental assistant. There Jacob got put right back in the Elders Quorum and Leisa in the Primary Presidency...but only for a couple of months until she was asked to serve in the Stake Young Womens Presidency as a counselor.

We have also gone flying on a Bi plane together...(those pictures are still on our phone) We went up to Ohio after Leisa's moms surgery to see her and they came down and Jacobs parents and Aubrey took Leisa's parents on a tour of the historic monuments in the area.

And Jacob got brave enough and actually asked Leisa who had never cut a guys hair before to cut his hair... lucky for Jacob it turned out alright.

For Thanksgiving recently we went up to Leisa's parents house. Where Leisa also took her parents portaits. And their dogs....Lady and Parker...

For Christmas we are staying here and enjoying the holiday with Jacobs family!

And that is all for now....or incredible long post has come to an end with a promise that a new one will be sooner and now as long!

Jacob Wimpee and I (Leisa Newton) were officially engaged February 5, 2006. We met the previous summer during an internship I had in Chattanooga, TN. Jacob grew up in Northern Georgia and attends Dalton State University. He will graduate May 5, 2006 in technology Management.
Whereas I have moved many times and have lived in 8 states and two countries. I graduated from BYUI in 2005 in Therapeutic Recreation.
Jacob served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints in the Northernmost mission in the Philipines, and I served in the Canada Toronto West Mission.
I We met through a mutual friend during institute activities and just hanging out with everyone in the area.
But...........it took until August right before I moved to Utah to figure things out between us. I left knowing I was supposed to go to Utah but wanting to stay near Jacob. After a couple weeks Jacob flew out to Utah and then I in return flew out to Georgia for thanksgiving.
