So Jacob's birthday was April 13, but i a just now getting to it! It was particularly exciting fro me because his family and my family, and I all went together to get him something her really really wanted but never expected. I love being able to do that with gifts!!!! So here is Jacob opening the car door to discover what his gift is..................

It's a...............
Portable basketball hoop! Jacob played varsity basketball all four years in high school and still loves to play. He has been wanting one for awhile now, especially with the great driveways we have! We were thrilled to get him one!
Lets pause a moment to look at my beautiful backyard! I love it! It is so peaceful, I feel like I am in a cabin at a lake sometimes. I think we have the best lot in the subdivision. I love it!
Putting the last part of the net on the hoop ( 5 hours and 4 bolts missing later) I'm sure our neighbors loved us that night.....So Jacob held his last shot till morning..
The following Monday was Jacob's real birthday and his family met us at Famous Dave's for the best Barbeque around! ( my opinion)
Following the basketball theme, I took Jacob to his first NBA game where Atlanta took on the Miami Heat. The place where we bought our tickets messed them up and called to give us better seats....little did we know we were 10 rows back!
It's amazing to see how high off the ground these guys get. Look at that block!
Sometime at the end of the game someone set off a stink bomb right near the court, it was pretty lethal as this picture of the team shows below...and this picture was taken well after it went off. Of course being 10 rows back we were in harms way too...ugh.
What a great 31st birthday!
